JIAOLIU MANDARIN grew out as result of the need by students to practically make use (speak) of Chinese Mandarin while they learn or after learning. Our students didn’t want Chinese Mandarin to just become the next language they knew, but needed it as a tool to communicate their needs, feelings, and expectations and even build relationships with their friends, family, colleagues, employers, employees, business partners, clients, doctors, coaches, etc. Some of our students intrigued by the Chinese culture and China itself wanted to watch Chinese movies, series, documentaries etc. without subtitles or even travel to China without needing a translator.

The founder herself, Ogochukwu was born and raised in Nigeria where more than 56 languages were spoken locally. Growing up, she understood what speaking another person’s language can do for you. She became passionate about Chinese Mandarin early in her university days and by 2019, , she gained a Master’s degree in teaching Chinese language to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) from one of the top 10 universities in China, Nankai University, China. Her journey into the tutoring world started while still studying at Nankai University. She became a volunteer coaching the younger students in Chinese Mandarin studying and HSK preparations.

At the obtaining of her master’s degree, she lunged even more deeper into Chinese Mandarin teaching and coaching. The versatile needs of her students lead to the creation and establishment of JIAOLIU MANDARIN. With the help of other dedicated Chinese Mandarin teachers and partners, the tutoring company has grown tremendously and continues to improve. Jiaoliu Mandarin have taught students from the US, Europe, Africa, North America and South America. The success stories of what they have been able accomplish with speaking Chinese Mandarin continue to encourage us to serve you better.
